A school of thought clamour for slim girls, while for another subscribe to curves. Gone are the days when only tall, wafer-sized women ruled the world, largely due to the evolution of mass media through television, the exposure to sexy, big, bold and ambitious women have captured the imagination of the African man. This is a plus for the average African woman who is more likely to be full bodied.

          Then there are guys who are drawn to her mental stimulation. A woman’s I.Q ranks very high in their rating.  For these guys, 20% is placed on the physical attributes of the woman required for attraction, while 80% is placed on the intellect to sustain the relationship. These kinds of guys will not be caught dead with a lady they cannot have a good conversation with. This niche dating market has the potential to reduce the average number of dates in comparison to the more ‘regular’ guys who don’t hold this criterion in high esteem.

      There is a species of men who want what they have termed a ‘WIFEY MATERIAL’. But the question is what determines a wife material? Is it a woman’s cooking skill or her ability to be a good home maker, or her being a virgin and so technically means she is a ‘good girl’ or isn’t too social i.e. doesn’t go clubbing and so isn’t too out there or has no stories and baggage attached to her name or the fact that she is well educated and so is a potential asset and not a liability or the fact that his parents especially his mom approves of her or the fact that she is lady in the street and a freak in the bed.
